The scale of Justice

The scale of justice is a physics based lawyer simulation.

You are a defense lawyer and you must defend your client and get them acquitted.

Build a good defense by choosing the right evidences.
To tip the scale to your advantage, choose evidences that can weight in your arguments. And evidence that are brought to court can be affected and affect the weight of evidence that were already presented.

Controls

  • Mouse to select evidence and position them on the scale.
  • Press the Space Bar to open or close the evidences.

Built to Scale

The game was created for the GMTK Game Jam 2024 with the theme Built to Scale. The scale is the centre piece of the game but scale is also use with evidence that can change size depending of their effectiveness. The idea is also the build a strong and stable case by arranging the evidences without your defence crumbling.

Neat idea for a game. I think the physics is a cool addition, but can get in the way most of the time. Good job overall and it was a relief to play a game that had a unique take on the theme!

One thing that is a little frustrating is when you pull the perfect piece of evidence and try to place it, but it falls off the scale. That said, it does make for an interesting metaphor about lost evidence in the legal system.

Fun little game! I love the idea and the style.

It took me 4 tries to win the case :O
